McQueen at the Met

I knew early on that one of the highlights of my New York visit this time would be the retrospective of Fashion’s Alexander McQueen at the Met Museum; and it did not disappoint. The only wish I had was for the museum to be emptier so I could enjoy the exhibition more.

Die Boer vs. El Negro ("Die Swarte")

Impressions from South Africa, 1965 to Now:”
The South African Political Posters and Prints are on display at the New York Museum of Modern Art. Among others is this political poster, depicting a frolicking couple of wrestlers, the White Guilt and the Black Power.
The work is on view March 23–August 14, 2011.
